Electrostatic Dissipation for Safety
In environments where hydrogen or other explosive atmospheres may form, electrostatic build-up poses a severe ignition hazard. Our specially engineered coatings prevent electrostatic accumulation by ensuring safe and controlled dissipation.
As a result, they fully support compliance with:
- ATEX Directive for potentially explosive atmospheres
- TRGS 727* on the prevention of ignition hazards caused by electrostatic charges
This performance is verified by:
- The official test certificate from PTB (Germany's National Metrology Institute)
Additionally, the dissipative properties of our coating materials undergo independent quality assurance, with every production batch externally monitored by RWE Power AG.
Corrosion Protection without Compromise
Beyond their electrical dissipation capabilities, our coating systems deliver high-performance corrosion protection for steel structures and plant components up to corrosivity category C5 – High. Moreover, they remain permanently dissipative even at a high film thickness exceeding 200 µm. This combines safety, value preservation, and a long service life in one system.
Advantages
- Dissipative coating systems for safety-critical applications
- Support in meeting ATEX requirements
- Compliance with the requirements of TRGS 727
- Reliable dissipative properties even with very high film thicknesses
- Batch-by-batch monitoring of dissipation by RWE Power AG
